Victor & Nadine {tRAB}

Nadine and Victor tied the knot more than a month ago...and I still haven't blogged the absolutely beautiful event -> rest assured, I am there, well halfway ;) More about the stunning day to come, but first some Ridiculously Awesome Booth photos! Emily {New Soul}

I've known Johan all my life, his sister Sone is my oldest friend (you might remember her from this shoot). I also photographed Johan & Lydia's wedding, it feels like ages ago, but I checked and its not, it was in 2007 so only 4 years ago;) I haven't seen Johan & Lydia for a while, but they have a new little addition to their family, her name is Emily. She is adorable and pulls the cutest faces, she has big eyes that explore the world and I can already see that she's daddies little girl! Werner & Anlie {Family}

Do you remember Anlie's {Potbelly} session or her new born, Xander's {New Soul} session? Well, I have an update! We finally did another shoot and it seems I actually got a little luckier with photographing Werner, Anlie's husband ;) When you photograph an old friend you tend to make the best of your visit. We made a day of it, Werner put on a braai and we had a lazy, hot summers day where I mostly photographed Xander and Anlie, Mr.Husband made himself scares, but I made good of what little time I had to photograph him. Little Xander had a tough time though, he was going through teething, you'll see that little finger in his mouth the whole time, but it was still a lot of fun seeing him play! Read more

The Basson Family

In last weeks' post, I spoke about how I grow with families, especially the Basson family. Eben & Stiena, Boeta's brother and sister-in-law, got a new addition to their family, little Eberhardt. He is one of the friendliest babies I've ever seen. He didn't cry once the entire shoot. Even at the end of the shoot as we got a flat tire and had to watch poor Eben change tires. Jan & Leanie {I’m Yours}

When you go to a shoot, you hope for everything to go well, great location, perfect couple, awesome clothes and accessories and of course, awesome weather. Well, life doesn't always turn out the way you want, you may have everything except the awesome weather! Which was the case when photographing Jan & Leanie's engagement session :( Everything was perfect up untill we blew up the 100th balloon at the beautiful Kaapse Hoop. Francois & Janine {I’m Yours}

When you photograph a person or couple, there is always the chance that you might photograph someone in that person or couples family. This was the case when I first photographed Nadia & Eugene's wedding, I then also photographed Nadia's brother Boeta & Malenke's wedding, Malenke's sister Mary-Ann & Ruan's wedding...now its almost time for Ruan's brother Francios & Janine's wedding (phew), oh and I also photographed Nadia and Boeta's brothers' family shoot (still need to blog it!) but yes, this is what I want to do, I want to be a part of something big (and I think this is quite big, dont you think?) it all started with me and my first "kys" from primary school, Boeta, so somehow it started with LOVE, young love and now its a big because I am part of so many peoples lives! Werner & Jolanie {Ever After}

I really dont think I have to say anything more about Werner & Jolanie...you've seen their couple shoot and their Ridiculously Awesome Booth, but what about the wedding? Their wedding was at Moholoholo Ya Mati in Hoedspruit, a really special place where the cosy chalets are close to the river, tucked into the forest. When you wake up at this place it feels like you are in paradise, its peaceful with soft noises from the trees, birds and insect. Yup, this magical place is where these two love birds tied the knot! Okay, so you probably remember Werner & Jolanie's laundry-inspired engagement shoot, well, they finally got married and the wedding was amazing, to say the least.
