Josef & Lorraine {I’m Yours}

I'm always happy when I get to photograph people I know, it is a blessing to have people want me to spend a couple of hours with them to capture their love. I've known Lorraine since primary school. We went on holiday together as kids and did crazy things...we have it on video, but hopefully it will never get on the interweb :D we went to high school together and played hockey for the same team. I've photographed her brother, Kobus, and his family and her cousin, Hylgard and my friend Charlien's family and will document both Lorraine & Josef's wedding and her other cousin, Leon & Clara's wedding this year, phew thats a mouth full, so if you dont already know them, you should get used to their faces, hopefully I'll have a lot more to document for this family in years to come. Cobus & Merani {Potbelly}

I knew the moment I met this couple, that I really liked them. Merani also studied Visual Communication and is a Graphic Designer, so we clicked immediately! Cobus is a little shy but very sweet and very loving to his wife. Merani's got a lot of style and as a pregnant lady she looked fabulous, while we did the shoot I constantly had to ask her to touch her belly and move a little sideways, because she didn't look pregnant at all in her Forever New outfit. Cobus and Merani's Potbelly shoot was sweet and oh-so-cute! Mihlan {New Soul}

Little Mihlan was born in April, she is adorable and her parents are awesome, if you haven't seen Eugene & Vanessa's pregnancy shoot, go have a look here. Mihlan was a little edgy on the day of the shoot and the only person that made her feel better was her mommy, poor Eugene and I felt very left out with all the attention Mihlan gave to Vanessa. Johan & Isabelle {Part II}

If you haven't seen PART 1 of Johan & Isabelle's wedding, go have a look before you watch this blog post! The beautiful wedding was shot in the Lowveld at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre. The place has cute little shops and great Restaurants, it even has a boutique Hotel - with gorgeous rooms and an art gallery, the whole place just has this atmosphere about it, if you are ever in the Nelspruit or Whiteriver area you should go and visit Casterbridge. Johan & Isabelle {Ever After}

I just love weddings like this one, every vendor used did an amazing job and I would love to work with all of them again. Johan & Isabelle got married in Whiteriver, they had an intimate wedding with close family and friends and celebrated it at Magnolia Restaurant at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre. It was the perfect day, we didn't feel the winter until twilight and still everyone partied like rockstars! I've been dying to blog it but every time I start getting it ready something comes between me and the wedding, I know my bride must be wondering what the hell I'm doing, but it is finally here and did I mention it is beautiful! I so enjoyed photographing Johan & Isabelle, Johan doesn't like to be photographed, but luckily for him that just drives me to take more photos of him ;) Read more

Johann & Bernardine {TTD}

I did Johann & Bernardine's wedding in the beginning of the year, my very first wedding for 2011. To see their awesome wedding go Part 1 & Part 2. They really wanted a Trash the Dress as well, so we waited a while and here we have their session. It was a lot of fun, we started in Vereniging just outside Johannesburg. These two are very fond of music and it turns out we have very similar taste in music. I will post a little video clip soon of some really cool stuff we did, but they rented a amp, guitar and mic for the shoot. We had a great day and after our first shoot we went into Jo'burg to have some fun in the streets...we were a little scared, or a lot as one should be, but we enjoyed it none the less. Read more
