Ruan & Marie {I’m Yours}

Before I begin this blog post, I just want to compose myself, I have this big smile on my face every time I look at these photos, not because of the photos, but of what happened after our first attempt of shooting it. Normally, I would go to a shoot, take the pictures for my couple have a few laughs, maybe a drink afterwards and then we'd head home. This did not happen when I photographed Ruan & Marie... the two of them live close to Kimiad Golf course, where we took the photos. The weather failed us just as we started taking photos and we decided to do a shoot the day after, but first we would go have a glass of red wine at the Kimiad Restaurant. Read more

Piet & Genevieve {Potbelly}

I am so totally excited, in the next couple of weeks I will become an aunt! Before I went on my Euro trip I had a potbelly session with my brother Piet and my beautiful sister-in-law, Genevieve. They are expecting a little boy, Carl, he will be the first grandchild in our and Genevieve's family and is going to be spoiled not only by me, but by all 4 grand parents and his 2 other aunts and 2 uncles.We went to The Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg, where my brother booked a room for the two of them, I just love how the shoot turned out! It is such a privilege to be able to document these memories for my family. Can't wait to meet my little nephew! Read more

Aiden & Ezanne {TTD}

Aiden & Ezanne {Ever After}

You know you're at the right wedding when you arrive at the different venues where the bride & groom are getting dressed and they are smiling from ear to ear the whole time. Ezanne is the teeny-tinyest person I've ever met and looks a lot like Penelope Cruz (bonus for me to photograph) and nothing could get her upset, not even having to put her dress on three times. Aiden is calm and collected, but once that booth was up he was the one that didn't leave without taking a funny awesome photo with almost everyone there. Read more

Stephen & Natalie {Part ii}

Part two of Stephen & Natalie's wedding was such a blast! Of course we had the Ridiculously Awesome Booth and part 1 and then everyone had a party at Kuzuri Restaurant. The food was exceptional and just thinking about it makes me hungry :( Thank you Saar for the great service you provided, you guys are 5 star.
