When a photographer asks you to photograph their wedding, it is both an honour and very intriguing, and like a fellow photographer said; “it makes you work extra hard”.

It was my last wedding for 2010, and it was definitely one to remember! Corne & Lara, from the awesome Corne Lategan Photography, are both South Africans based in Gold Coast, Australia. Apart from their photos being awesome you should see what they do with video, it is out of this world AMAZING, here is one of my favourite videos ever CLP’sVimeo.

Because they wanted to share their wedding day with family, they organized it to be in the Western Cape at Palmiet Valley Estate. It was such a stunning day, and the backdrop was phenomenal – as only Cape Town can be. I’ve spoken to the couple countless times on skype before so that when we met in real-time, it wouldn’t be as if we’ve never met before. They are a great match for each other, Corne is the outspoken one and Lara is a little shy, infront of the camera however it was the complete opposite, I found Corne to be a little more shy (but I think all photographers are a little shy in front of the camera – I normally have no idea what to do – and at the same time as being photographed, I always try to image what the photo will look like – blurggk) but together they make a stunning team! Shooting their wedding was effortless, everything just worked out perfectly.

I also got to shoot a Trash the Dress for them, so there will be a lot of photos on the blog this week – watch this space!
