I am not a morning person, seriously! But I woke up at 4 o’clock on Monday 20 December 2010, to go and shoot Corne & Lara’s trash the dress in CampsBay…and wow, I think I should become a morning person, I also think I should grow my hair and get a wedding dress like Lara’s. It was really amazing to shoot this AWESOME couple. After we shot at CB we were off to the V& A Water Front for some shade – I was a bit scared, because I’m not used to shooting with the sun directly above my head, actually I was terrified ;) because I’m shooting this Trash the Dress for photographers – Corne & Lara from Corne Lategan Photography. After the Water Front we went to Bloubergstrand…I know, I know it might be waaay too many locations, but how often do I shoot in Cape Town? I thought so! And, have you seen Lara’s dress? It must be the most beautiful dress ever!

While we were at the Waterfront, I really wanted to see if I could go in to the Two Oceans Aquarium to photograph some silhouettes of Corne & Lara…amazingly they let us through – for free, it was stunning, next time I’m in Cape Town I will definitely be making a stop there to fully appreciate the beauty of it.

The strangest thing of all was, when photographing Corne & Lara, I never got any wind, which I was kind of bummed-out about. I know a lot of photographers complain about the wind in Cape Town, but I’ve never photographed in really strong winds before, so when we got to Bloubergstrand I was blessed with some wind, and seriously, I would have been so sad if I didn’t see what happened to Lara’s dress next – it parachuted in the air, a dress any photographer would love to photograph, I think one day I will be so kind to my photographer too (thanks Lara).
