I met Ignatius at his sister, Loma’s, wedding in Mozambique in 2009. A couple of months later, I met Chantel at her friend, Eloises’ wedding in the Free State, they both stood out to me – both have very very blue eyes – Ignatius looked a little shy at his sisters wedding, but Chantel was full of energy at her friends wedding, she sat across from me and we had tons of fun. A year later they contacted me, engaged, and told me that they both loved the work I did for their friend and sister’s wedding – I am blessed they decided to use me to photograph not just 1 wedding, but their destination wedding too!

I love it when my couples have 2 weddings. Ignatius & Chantel’s first wedding was at the Castello di Monte in Pretoria. Their first wedding was elegant & timeless, Castello is stunning and have such a great view of Waterkloof and Brooklyn, I do hope I can get a wedding here again. It was a small intimate family wedding with just 15 people. There are a lot of shoe shots in this blog post, I won’t apologize for them – Chantel’s shoes are just soooooo beautiful!
