Before I tell you about this wedding, I’d like to talk a little about Lorraine, I’ve known her since we were little girls (even have a video of us playing “miss South Africa” when we where 6/7 years old – due to our reputations I will rather not show anyone this video  - I have an image to uphold ;) but I’ve always thought that Lorraine looked like Princess Diana, and on her wedding day she reminded me of her again. She looked like a real princess, and I’m sure she felt like one too. Josef, you are a very lucky man!

If you have seen the booth photos you’ll know by now that the colour scheme was red, it’s not a colour used often by my brides, but it came out beautifully – it just popped, and it all tied in from the getting dressed through to the reception! The wedding was in my home town, Komatipoort, a small town on the border of Mozambique, and the reception was on the Lourens’ family farm -right next to a dam, where lots of family and friends awaited the couples’ arrival by boat. Josef and Lorraine looked stunning and when their eyes met in church for the first time, on their wedding day, it was smiles and tears. I wish you so much love and happiness!

Below: One of my favourite photos. Just as Lorraine put on her dress and looked at herself in the mirror, she started to cry, it was such a beautiful moment of happiness. Lorraine, I hope you will get that same feeling every time you look at this photo ~ and maybe you’ll remember Betsie’s words too (and you’ll crack a smile or giggle).

I think Lorraine’s dress was not only made for her, but for the wind too – love this shot below!
